Visit Us postcards: Wairarapa, Arrowtown, Nelson, Auckland

From First Up, 5:13 am on 17 December 2021

As it's our last programme we thought we'd speak with locals across the motu about what makes their region so special, so we said "here's 60 seconds" tell us why people should visit this summer. First we'll start in the Wairarapa, it's filled with antique shops, wineries, food, US movie producers and historic charm. Arrowtown Business Association chairman Jimmy Sygrove says the last two years have been tough without international tourists. But he's pretty sure that Arrowtown is still the place to be over summer. Lee-Anne Jago is the owner & Guide of Waka Abel Tasman, a business that does waka tours around the Abel Tasman coastline. And don't forget about Auckland! After three-months of lockdowns, Auckland is in serious need of tourists and support, here's restaurateur Krishna Botica.
