Omicron: the next variant of concern closes borders

The World Health Organisation says the Omicron variant has a large number of mutations, and early evidence suggests a possible increased risk of reinfection. New Zealand banned travel from nine Southern African countries after the WHO declared Omicron "a variant of concern". Our producer Matthew Theunissen discussed these concerning developments with Jacob Glanville, who's an immuno-engineer and chief executive of biotech company Centivax, which specialises in COVID-19 treatments and a range of vaccines.
