Northlanders are torn between wanting Aucklanders to come to the region over summer to give a much-needed boost to struggling businesses, and concern that this will see Covid-19 spreading through the community. Northland continues to have among the lowest vaccination rates in the country, and has several vulnerable communities and limited health resources. So how to find a balance that accomodates concern about the virus spreading; the interests of tourism businesses; and Aucklanders who want or need to travel to the region? Our producer Matthew Theunissen reports on Northland's conundrum.
