Vax mandate sends message that schools safe for students

The Government has mandated the Covid-19 vaccine for high-risk workers in the health and disability sector, and school and early learning staff and support people. People working in education have until November the 15th to have their first vaccination and second by January the 1st. The Prime Minister, Jacinda Ardern, also announced that Auckland schools will not be reopening next week, instead students will continue to learn from home. Cabinet will review this again next Monday. To talk about what this all means for staff and students Nathan Rarere spoke with Auckland Primary Principals' Association President Stephen Lethbridge.
