Complicated rules on opening up New South Wales today
After 107 days in lockdown, New South Wales will re-open for business today. From today in New South Wales ... Retail stores can open to vaccinated customers .. the unvaccinated will only be able to access critical retail like supermarkets and pharmacies. 'Fully vaccinated' people aged over 12 will be able to have up to 10 visitors at home. Outdoor gatherings increase to 30 Pubs, restaurants and cafes will reopen with one person per 4 square metres inside and one person per 2 metres outside. Hairdressers and nail salons will be able to open with a cap of five customers on any premises. Gyms, pools, sporting facilities, theme parks, race courses and movie theatres can also reopen with social distancing and up to 500 people can attend ticketed and seated outdoor events. Greater numbers will be permitted once the state reaches an 80 per cent vaccination rate. Nathan Rarere asked the ABC's Gavin Coote about how it's all going to work.
