Concern over Covid cases in AK as parts of Waikato move to L3
Parts of Waikato joined Auckland in alert level 3 this morning after two mystery cases of Covid-19 were reported yesterday. The concerning news sees Raglan, Te Kauwhata, Huntly, Nga-rua-wahia and Hamilton City facing the tough level 3 restrictions for at least 5 days. The two new cases, who are known to each other, were detected in Raglan and Hamilton East and authorities are yet to find links to the current Auckland outbreak. There were a further 32 positive cases reported in Auckland yesterday. Our producer Matthew Theunissen asked Covid-19 modeller Michael Plank, from Te Punaha Matatini and the University of Canterbury, how concerning these new cases are.
