From First Up, 5:25 am on 29 September 2021

The Government has this morning announced it's making 37.5 million dollars available to protect jobs in the arts and culture sectors. People who work in these areas have been particularly hard hit by the latest Covid-19 restrictions, with most in Auckland still unable to operate at Alert Level 3. The new funding includes 10 million dollars to support at-risk organisations, key infrastructure, artists and projects; 5 million to support organisations at risk of going under; and 22.5 million dollars for cultural performances and events. The Minister for Arts, Culture and Heritage, Carmel Sepuloni, told Ellie Jay what this emergency funding will mean.
