UK cyclists spell out Refugees Welcome on GPS tracker

From First Up, 5:12 am on 24 September 2021

A group of British cyclists have just completed an epic journey around Southern England. And while that isn't uncommon, spelling out "Refugees Welcome" on a GPS tracking app in letters the size of the entire south of the country certainly is. Georgie Cottle, her partner David Charles and the team from the cycling group Thighs of Steel, took off on their adventure in August - in the hope of raising funds and awareness for the plight of refugees and to attempt to get their names in the Guinness Book of Records. Ellie Jay asked Georgie what inspired them to take on the challenge.
