Teachers exhausted, children online learning for 2 months

With Auckland to stay in a Level 4 lockdown for at least two more weeks, the prospect of children remaining out of school for two whole months appears increasingly likely. To explain ... if after a fortnight the region goes down to level 3 for another couple of weeks, we'll then head straight into school holidays, meaning no face-to-face class for Auckland students during that entire period. Education Minister Chris Hipkins confirmed the possibility of this to Checkpoint last night. Nathan Rarere discussed the news with the principal of Finlayson Park School, Shirley Maihi, and asked how her students are coping during yet another lockdown.
