Chinese city of Nanjing well on way to eliminate Delta strain

The Chinese city of Nanjing is well on the way to becoming the first in the world to completely eliminate the Delta strain of covid-19. More than 100 million tests have been undertaken in the wider province of Jiangsu over the past few weeks. China, along with NZ and Singapore is still persuing an elimination strategy, when many other countries have thrown their hands up in surrender. Kiwi John Wong is based in Nanjing and has been teaching at an English language school since the beginning of the pandemic. Nathan Rarere asked him how this latest lockdown compares with the other lockdowns the city has endured since he arrived in 2019.
