Olympics@Ryman employs new tech in competitive senior games
New technology has been employed to put together an Olympics for seniors in New Zealand and Australia. Ryman Healthcare is bringing together 12,500 residents across 42 villages to compete in the world's first international retirement village Olympic Games. Getting into the spirit of the Tokyo games, residents compete in cycling, swimming, bowls, a team walking relay and Quiznastics (gymnastics for the brain). To find out about the pioneering tech, Nathan Rarere asked Ryman corporate affairs manager David King if a certain event that was currently happening in Tokyo inspired them to start it?
