Community communications need work to encourage vaccinations
A prominent South Auckland councillor says that the sluggish response to calls to get vaccinated in the country's first mass vaccination event starting this Friday, is down to people in "ivory towers" planning for communities that they know nothing about. Efeso Collins' comments come after less than a quarter of those initially sent invitations to the vaccination event in Manukau, booked a slot. Mr Collins says the communications plan to reach Maori, Pacific and vulnerable communities has been an absolute failure. Ella Stewart reports.
