Wellington lockdown extended to midnight Tuesday

The Wellington partial lockdown has been extended until at least midnight Tuesday - even though no cases of covid-19 have been detected in the region since the visit by a Covid-positive Australian traveller. However, Covid-19 response Minister Chris Hipkins says that the man's partner has tested positive for the virus, proving that he was infectious despite having had a single dose of the AstraZeneca vaccine.
