Wards full of children with preventable respiratory conditions

An Auckland Paediatrician says that wards in Auckland and Starship Hospitals are almost full of children with preventable respiratory conditions partly due to cold, unsuitable sleeping conditions. The children's charity Variety have launched their annual 'Warm Hearts' Winter appeal, and they say that the financial after-effects of Covid-19 have left hundreds more Kiwi children in need of beds and warm bedding Dr Alison Leversha is a community paediatrician at Auckland DHB and Starship and talked to our producer Ellie Jay.
