NZ PhD students' mental health better than overseas

New research indicates that embarking on a doctoral degree in New Zealand doesn't necessarily mean students will suffer a nervous breakdown. Unlike in comparable countries where PHD students mental health tends to plummett, down here they seem to fare quite a bit better. As Camina Blewett reports, establishing good personal and professional relationships during doctorate studies appears to make the difference.
