RBNZ: economy picked up but faces uncertain outlook

The Reserve Bank has shown no sign of taking its foot off the stimulus pedal as it holds the official cash rate at a record low 0.25 percent, and reaffirms easing monetary policies to support the economy. In its announcement yesterday, our central bank said the economy had picked up after the soft period at the end of last year, but still faced an uncertain and uneven outlook. Nathan Rarere spoke with Infometrics economist Brad Olsen.
