From First Up, 5:16 am on 19 May 2021

In the lead up to the games, we're talking to as many Kiwi Olympic athletes as possible to hear how they're preparing for one of the biggest events of their careers. 19 year old Football ferns goalkeeper Anna Leat is competing in an Olympics for the first time. She is best known for her heroics at the Fifa Under-17 World Cup in Uruguay in 2018, where she kicked the winning penalty to send New Zealand to a historic semi-final appearance. By then, Anna had already made three appearances for the Football Ferns, the national women's team, after making her debut off the bench as a 15-year-old against Austria in 2017. Nathan Rarere asked Anna how she's feeling as the big day gets closer.
