40 yo relics excavated from Christchurch's Catholic Cathedral

Demolition workers at Christchurch's Catholic Cathedral have excavated coffee jars full of holy bones and relics that were buried underneath the building for more than 40 years. Catholic Diocese of Christchurch archivist Triona Doocey has been carefully unpacking all the items and identifying them using a book of certificates compiled by Bishop Grimes. She told our reporter Ella Stewart that finding these relics has been a once in a life time experience.
