Admin of privately funded drugs huge cost for patients

Bowel cancer patient Mandy Grantley who had to pay 64-thousand dollars to get unfunded treatment says it's outrageous that half the cost went towards getting it administered because under the current rules, our DHBs can't help with unfunded medications. It comes as National Party deputy leader Shane Reti tries to rush a bill through Parliament which would stop cancer patients from being hit with a double whammy of having to spend their life savings to get the drugs they require and have them administerered. Mandy told Nathan Rarere that no-one should have to suffer like this.
