Original Banksy artwork sells for $1.45m in Auckland auction

A real and original artwork by Banksy the secretive British graffiti artist went on sale last night at the international Art Centre in Parnell, The work is called 'Keep it real,' it's 30cm squared and is a monkey spray painted on white canvas with a placard that says 'keep it real.' It was one of a number of Artworks by Banksy for sale - 5 screenprints by the artist were also up for grabs in the 'Important and rare art auction' The Director of the International arts centre Richard Thomson spoke with Nathan Rarere.
