Ski fields need extra staff to cater for Australian tourists

Some ski fields expect that they will need hundreds of additional staff to ensure they can cater for an influx of Australians. Earlier this week the Prime Minister confirmed she will announce the Trans Tasman bubble start date in early April. NZSki is already recruiting and preparing The Remarkables, Coronet Peak and Mt Hutt ski fields for the upcoming season. But it's chief executive Paul Anderson told tourism reporter Tess Brunton he needs more certainty around the bubble before committing to hiring additional staff.
