Confusing rules for MIQ Defence Force staff

The boss of MIQ is defending an apparent double standard for defence staff while they're on base OR out and about in the community. Gyms, bars, the mess hall and other communal facilties are completely out-of-bounds for Defence force staff during their time on duty at MIQ facilities and the seven days following. However, those same staff are free to visit any gym, bar, restaurant or concert outside the base. Ruth Hill reports.
