Patience from South Aucklanders as Covid testing ramps up

From First Up, 5:38 am on 17 February 2021

For the second day in a row there were no new community cases of Covid-19 in the country yesterday, despite a testing blitz which saw over 15-thousand people swabbed in the previous 24 hours. We'll find out at 4.30 this afternoon whether Auckland will come out of the Level 3 lockdown which has seen many businesses unable to operate and most school children work from home. Authorities are yet to discover how the family of three became infected with the virus, and until that's been established there remains a possibility that there are undetected cases of Covid-19 circulating in the community. Our producer Matthew Theunissen hit the streets of South Auckland yesterday to see how people are faring.
