Pukaha National Wildlife Centre restoring forests

As part of a weekly animal segment this year, we're speaking to animal sanctuaries around New Zealand The Pukaha National Wildlife Centre is an unfenced sanctuary for native wildlife and a visitor centre which is nestled in a protected forest area off State Highway 2 just north of Mt Bruce in Wairarapa. Christine Reed is the recently-appointed biodiversity manager and is responsible for the restoration of 942 hectares of the forest. She also works on the captive management programme. Nathan Rarere spoke with Christine.
