Paremoremo prisoners spend time with their children for Xmas
Christmas cheer was alive at the country's toughest jail this weekend, with a group of inmates getting to spend a few hours crafting and reading with their children. In a room decked out with balloons, tinsel, streamers and a Christmas tree, a few inmates at Auckland prison connected with their children - some for the first time. It was the final session of a parenting course called Taonga mo nga Tamariki - Treasures for our Children. Our reporter, Katie Doyle was there and spoke with one of the inmates - who was similing ear to ear.
