Ministry might have averted mosque shootings

The head of the country's Federation of Multicultural Councils says having a Ministry of Ethnic Affairs before now, might have helped to avert last year's tragic mosque shootings. A number of initiatives have been confirmed as part of the Royal Commission report into the mosque shootings, released on Tuesday. One of them is that a Ministry for Ethnic Communities will be created. The President of the New Zealand Federation of Multicultural Councils, Pancha Narayanan told our reporter Tracy Neal it's something they've wanted for a long time.
