Facebook has released its' 'Year in Review' showing us what Kiwis have been talking about and sharing in 2020 on Facebook, Instagram, Messenger and WhatsApp. The results show that it was a big year for new Facebook groups with the top 10 in NZ all to do with community, connection and of course home decorating. The biggest of these new groups is 'Chooice' - formerly the New Zealand Made Facebook page. Sarah Colcord launched it in the first lockdown in April and within weeks the page had half a million followers. The third biggest is the page of Auckland University of Technology lecturer Hemi Kelly, author of the book 'A Māori phrase a day'. He started a Facebook page of the same name during the first lockdown and says the page originally started as a way of helping his students but it grew exponentially.
