Cook Is tourism operators disappointed no travel before Xmas

Cook Island tourism operators are upset and confused after New Zealand's Covid Minister Chris Hipkins rules out a travel bubble by Christmas. The New Zealand Government sent a team to investigate whether the South Pacific nation has adequate Covid-19 protections in place to allow opening borders between the two countries. After receiving their advice, Mr Hipkins said work still needs to be done on testing and contact tracing. The news came as a big blow to Cook Islanders like Liana Scott, who manages the Muri Beach Club Hotel in Rarotonga.
