One of the leading voices demanding Democracy for Hong Kong has been sent to prison for over a year. 24-year-old Joshua Wong was sentenced to 13-and-a-half months imprisonment for his part in organising a protest outside the Police Headquarters in June last year Fellow activists Agnes Chow and Ivan Lam were sentenced to 10 months and seven months respectively for their part in organising the protest. It's the fourth time that Wong has been jailed for protesting Beijing's stranglehold on Hong Kong - as a teenager he became a symbol for the former British colony's democracy movement for his pivotal role in the so-called Umbrella Movement. Nathan Rarere spoke with Samuel Chu from the Hong Kong Democracy Council.
