Are Black Friday sales actually a bargain?

Black Friday is back again with promises of huge savings on just about everything, but are the bargains all they're cracked up to be? Data from price comparison watchdog Pricespy suggests the cost of about 9 per cent of products actually went up in the week before Black Friday and dropped on the day ..apparently to make the sale prices look more attractive. Head of Research at Consumer New Zealand Jessica Wilson told our reporter Louise Ternouth this behaviour from retailers could land them in trouble.
