Thames-Coromandel mayor preparing for busy summer

From First Up, 5:52 am on 26 November 2020

Yesterday we ran a story about the scourge of broken windscreens in Coromandel as a result of rocks and pebbles being flicked up at vehicles from loose road surfaces. We've been inundated with responses from people who've had the same experience - sometimes multiple times - while driving through roadworks on the peninsula. Christchurch man Peter Brixton was on holiday and heading towards Hot Water Beach when he came to some road works just south of Whitianga. Hamilton woman Renee Denby was driving to visit her father in Tairua when she too got one of the Coromandel cracks. Nathan Rarere discussed with the Mayor of the Thames-Coromandel district, Sandra Goudie.
