Windies break rules in MIQ facility, no more training

From First Up, 5:46 am on 12 November 2020

The West Indian cricket team is drawing scorn in New Zealand and from people at home after they repeatedly broke managed isolation rules in their Christchurch MIQ facility. The touring squad had been granted a special exemption that allowed them to train ahead of their opening match against New Zealand A on November the 22nd, but that's now been revoked. The Ministry of Health says it's found that members of the team repeatedly broke managed isolation rules, including groups mingling and sharing food when they were supposed to stay in separate bubbles. All the incidents occurred within the hotel so there isn't a risk to the public. West Indies Cricket boss Johnny Grave was woken up by a phone call informing him of the news.
