Napier floodwaters taking time to recede

Emergency services, Council staff and Locals will continue the clean up operation in Napier today. Hundreds of properties are still without power, and the city's wastewater system remains overloaded. Daygo Ngatai lives with her son in Marewa - a suburb in Napier South which is one of the worst affected. On Monday, the water stopped just one step short of flooding her home. She told reporter Harry Lock that even by last night it hadn't receded much at all.
