NZ's Scott Dixon wins sixth IndyCar championship

New Zealand driver Scott Dixon won his sixth IndyCar championship in Florida yesterday, which is one title shy of the all-time record. The 40 year old finished third at the season-ending Grand Prix of St Petersburg to finish 16 points clear of championship rival Josef Newgarden, who won the final race. Dixon told media after the historic victory he knew he had to finish ninth or better to seal the series title.
