Trouble looms for yachties sheltering from Pacific storms

The manager of Marlborough's Waikawa Boating Club says yachts normally seek shelter from cyclones in the Pacific embedded in creeks and in mangrove streams, but there won't be enough room for everyone this year. Hundreds of foreign yachts face having to ride out severe Pacific storms, because borders have closed to countries where they typically sail at this time of year. And many of them come to New Zealand. Sue van Velzen, who has sailed the waters between here and the Pacific, told our reporter Tracy Neal that trouble looms for those unable to secure their vessels.
