Covid comes to Taupo as positive Ak family travels
It's been revealed that an Auckland family who've tested positive for Covid-19 met with 18 people from all over the country during a trip to Taupo last week. Two of the three family members had been in managed isolation in Christchurch and travelled home on the same flight as a known case - a man who only tested positive a few days after completing managed isolation. After arriving in Auckland, the family then took a trip to Taupo between Friday, September the 18th, and Sunday the 20th, where they met 18 people from Bay of Plenty, Wellington, Christchurch and Hamilton. An additional 13 people have been identified as close contacts, and all 31 are now isolating. Joining Indira Stewart to discuss these developments is the Mayor of the Taupo District, David Trewavas.
