Mountain biker Sam Gaze returns to competition with a smile

More than a year after being diagnosed with depression the New Zealand mountain biker Sam Gaze will return to international competition next week with a smile on his face. Gaze struggled with his mental health following a crash in South Africa 18 months ago. In 2018 Gaze won the Commonwealth Games title but says his unsportsmanlike behaviour towards team-mate Anton Cooper during the race probably didn't help his mental state. The 24-year-old told our sports reporter Barry Guy the crash last year turned his world upside down.
