Flu season almost non existent in southern hemisphere
Efforts to stop Covid-19 are having at least one welcome side effect, the flu season is almost non-existent in the southern hemisphere. That's according to data from the World Health Organisation's Global Influenza Surveillance and Response System. Patricia Priest is an epidemiologist and head of Otago University's department of preventive and social medicine. She told our reporter Louise Ternouth it's not a surprise but a silver lining in the efforts to control coronavirus.
