Meet the Mayors: K Gurunathan from Kapiti District

It's the time of the week where we meet New Zealand's local leaders, This week we hear from the 'Guru of Paraparaumu' - the Mayor of Kapiti coast district K Gurunathan. Guru is Malaysian - Indian and has been living and working in the Kapiti community for the past 30 years. He is the district's first non-pakeha Mayor to be voted in. Indira Stewart asked Guru how he came to call Kapiti home.
