Auckland students to get extra boost to NCEA scores

Auckland secondary principals are relieved their students will get a further boost to their NCEA scores after the latest lockdown. Bonus credits were announced for all NCEA students after the first lockdown - teenagers in the rest of the country get one bonus credit for every FIVE credits earned. The Education Minister announced yesterday Auckland students will now get one bonus credit for every FOUR they earn, to reflect the additional time they had out of the classroom during the August lockdown. Rangitoto College principal Patrick Gale told Nita Blake-Persen he's delighted with the changes.
