Covid-19 disproportionately affects women jobs more than men
Women who've lost their jobs due to Covid-19 are being forced to either retrain or seek work well below their skill level. The pandemic has disproportionately affected women's employment, with female-dominated sectors like hospitality and tourism among the hardest hit. Rebecca Lay has worked as a PR professional for more than 15 years, but was made redundant from her job with the Les Mills International fitness research team just after the first lockdown. She told reporter Matthew Theunissen finding work is competitive and she fears that's driving salaries down.
