Lost Stock sells Covid-cancelled factory clothing orders

From First Up, 5:09 am on 7 August 2020

Around 3 billion dollars worth of clothing orders have been cancelled by big retailers because of Covid-19. The cancellation of orders has left factories around the world with piles of unsold stock and mounting debts, leaving millions of factory workers overseas at risk of losing their jobs. One company, Lost Stock, is trying to tackle this, bridging the gap between factories and consumers by sending customised parcels of clothes from cancelled orders to people who pay a fee online. Created a few weeks during lockdown, it has now shipped more than 150 thousand orders, with the profits going to NGOs supporting factory workers. The Founder and CEO of Lost Stock, Cally Russell, spoke to First Up's Ellie Jay who first asked him how the business started.
