Queenstown locals encouraged to get free covid-19 tests

From First Up, 5:10 am on 3 August 2020

Queenstown Lakes Mayor Jim Boult says people are rattled after a skiier who was recently in the town tested positive for Covid-19 in South Korea, and a community testing blitz is a responsible precaution. Mr Boult says no cases have been uncovered outside managed isolation but the rapid re-emergence of the virus in Melbourne is a warning of how quickly it can spread. In response, a free 'pop-up' drive-through testing clinic will operate from the Pak'n'Save car park in Frankton from 9am to 5pm on Tuesday, to test as many people as possible. Mr Boult spoke to our reporter Jordan Bond.
