Macleans College:we can manage quarantine of overseas students

From First Up, 5:12 am on 28 July 2020

The principal of one Auckland college says he's disappointed that the government won't let his school manage the isolation and quarantine of students coming from overseas. At its peak, New Zealand was bringing in 117-thousand students each year but that immediately halted when the border closed. On Monday, the government put up 51-million dollars to support schools and education providers hit hard by the loss of fee-paying international students. More than 300 international students from 20 different countries currently attend Macleans College in the Auckland suburb of Bucklands Beach. Principal Steven Hargreaves says that his school could manage an isolation process.
