Lawyer, Dr Hamish Ross discusses the America's Cup

From First Up, 5:41 am on 3 July 2020

The government suspended funding for the America's Cup yesterday, amid claims of financial mismangement, which potentially involves public funds. It comes after allegations of spying, claims of misappropriated funds and a police investigation into a scam which led to money being sent to a Hungarian bank account. So, is the competition on the rocks - or is it full speed ahead to March next year? Dr Hamish Ross has a doctorate in law relating to the America's Cup - and has been involved in the legal side of the competition for the last 25 years. He told First Up he's confident the event will still go ahead.
