Fisher & Paykel Healthcare ramp up Covid-19 equipment

The healthcare appliance manufacturer, Fisher & Paykel Healthcare, says it has been ramping up manufacturing to meet demand for products used to treat Covid-19 patients. The company's full year net profit is up 37 percent to 287-point-3-million dollars in the year ended in March, with growth expected to increase over the next year, even if the pandemic peters out. In the meantime, the chief executive of Fisher & Paykel, Lewis Gradon, says the company is retooling to scale up to meet the increasing demand for its optiflow respiratory equipment.
