Facebook to ensure no foreign interference in NZ elections

Facebook is taking steps to to stop the spread of fake news and ensure there's no foreign interference in the 2020 New Zealand election on their platform. The social media giant will require anyone running ads that reference political figures, social issues, the election and political parties to confirm their indentity with New Zealand issued ID and disclose who's paid for the ad.
