Continuation of distance learning annoys Massey students

From First Up, 5:09 am on 16 June 2020

Some Massey University students are frustrated with plans to continue distance learning in semester 2, despite the university being able to teach as normal under Alert Level 1. Although most face-to-face teaching will resume at the university's three campuses next month, some courses in the Business School, Creative Arts College and College of Health have switched to online only. The university says the blended learning experience will give students flexibility if there are any more shifts in alert levels. But it's an unwanted change for Ari, who's in her final year of a Bachelor of Arts at the university's Palmerston North campus. She told reporter Katie Todd one of her semester two papers is now fully online, another will have shorter lectures with more online work, and she can't find out what's happening with two others.
