Queenstown residents trapped with no jobs, can't pay rent
Queenstown residents say they're trapped in tenancy agreements they can't escape as rents begin to return to normal. Thousands of jobs have been lost in the resort town with more expected to go after the wage subsidy ends. Permanent resident Lucas Lopes is prepared to move from Queenstown for work after being made redundant two months ago. But he told reporter Tess Brunton he's worried about the consequences if he does.
