Europe correspondent on lockdown in Vienna
Global anxiety over COVID-19 has recently centered on Europe, where Italy is bearing the brunt of the pandemic's spread. Amidst a nationwide lockdown, its toll has grown to more than 53,500 cases and over 4,800 deaths, surpassing China as the country with the highest death toll.
